Inhouse Projects

Thicknesser replacement We have replaced the thicknesser with a state-of-the-art helical drum carbide insert cutting head type. Not only does this unit produce a superb finish but is also very quiet and despite the higher initial cost, ongoing overall running costs will be lower.

Compound Saw We have purchased a new Makita compound saw. Not only is this saw very sophisticated enabling compound angle cutting but it has the capacity to cut material up to 100mm thick.

Prototypes and Drawings Mark Cox is producing prototypes and drawings of our standard projects so that they can be put on file for future use.

Ramp for Gavin Cooke Life member and boat builder extraordinaire Gavin Cooke is not well and therefore Colin Johnstone and Wayne Logan have started construction of a ramp to aid wheelchair access at Gavin’s home.

Summer house project Colin Johnstone has a structure that is “surplus to requirements” and so Peter Ilin and Trent have been refurbishing and painting this project as a fund raiser.

TV monitor install Robert Shade has set up an audio visual display system in our entrance whereby all of the historic photos of our operation can be continuously rolled through.
